So as you may have heard, those filing taxes for 2007 may be receiving additional tax checks. These checks are meant to "boost" the economy by promoting spending and increasing job creation... What? This has been done in prior years and I'm curious as to how this additional money for "spending" is supposed to boost the economy. It would be interesting to see how people spend their checks. I for one will be using it to pay my property taxes due in the same month. Hmmmm, well I guess that means I won't have to take the money for my property taxes out of my hard earned paycheck that I would have spent on what... bills and fuel to get to work to be able to do what... pay more bills, or maybe buy groceries or pay my utility bills at increased prices due to fuel costs, I notice higher prices everywhere and wonder if you are spending more for what you get, and are making the same amount of pay would that mean that most of this money from this economy boosting check will be to pay for things you would normally pay anyway and at increased cost. Am I missing something, it's great that we will be getting additional refunds. I'm all for the extra cash. I'm actually confused as to how this is really such an economy "booster". Geniuses please explain because I must not be getting it...
So how will you be spending your check or will you be saving it for a rainy day?
