Help by donating/support for Autism Awareness

I saw the one post about the former resident of Jasonville who is
doing the walk for autism. I, am currently a member of the Jasonville
Community and a friend who is a former resident of Jasonville. Cori(Hanson)Meid and myself, Kimberly(Crosley)Bogard both
graduated in 1996. I have 3 children attending Shakamak school; my 2
girls are in the 6th grade and my son is in the 4th grade. My son and
Cori's son both have Autism. Here is a letter talking about the walk
and our team....

**I am participating in Walk Now for Autism to help find a cure for
autism. Autism is the second most common developmental disorder in the
United States affecting one in every 150 children born today. Despite
some promising discoveries, the cause of autism is unknown and a cure
does not exist. Research is crucial. Every 20 minutes another child is
diagnosed with autism. Not only must we find ways to improve the
quality of life for children and adults with autism, but we also must
find a cure, and soon.

Walk Now for Autism is our chance to make a difference in the fight
against autism by raising money for autism research and heightening
public awareness. Please join me in my fight as I raise $400.00 to help
fund essential research. I will be walking on September 20, 2008 and
would like you to support those affected by autism. You can donate to
Walk Now for Autism and join my team online through my webpage at www.walknowforautism.org.
Donations can also be mailed to Autism Speaks using the donation form
located on my page or send me a check made out to Autism Speaks. My
team name is VinIce; please note this on your check and the donation
form.

Please join me in my fight against autism. Thank you for making a
difference in the lives of the more than 1 million Americans living
with autism today. **  read more

A Huge Thank You

We would like to commend EVERYONE that has volunteered their time and effort into distributing water and supplies throughout the area. It has been awesome to be able to go the fire station and pick up water. These individuals are putting in countless hours of their free time in aiding in the distribution efforts and we would like to thank each and every individual that has taken time out of their lives to aid in the effort. We can't thank you enough.

Where have we been?

Well, as you may have noticed the website hasn't been updated much lately. It's been very hectic around here as my daughter has left to work at Disney World for the summer through the Disney College Internship Program. We had to get her packed up and I took a break so I could spend time with her before she left. Plus I really just needed a break.

Our internet has been down the past couple of days but seems to be working for the moment although they haven't came to fix it yet. Not sure what is going on there but our phone is not working either. With the storms it seems like the wind blows here and the power goes out, so we have been dealing with power outages also. To top it off our washer started leaking yesterday, but appears I just overloaded it, and our radiator hose on our jeep ripped so we had to fix that also. Now we are also out of water here in town. LOL this brings real meaning to when it rains it pours.

So anyway, just wanted to let everyone know we are still here and have lots of stuff to add to GoJasonville. Remember if you have anything to share please submit it. With this new community section it is easier than ever to submit information on your own which really helps us out, as we have full time jobs on the side and it also helps you to get your information posted in the most timely manner. You can still submit through our contact us section and we will get your information posted as soon as possible. We encourage you to submit here so that it will be posted instantly.

P.S. If you have sent any emails that have not been replied to be patient. I'm going through them as quickly as I can. New registrations have all been approved up to this date so if you are unable to login here let us know.

About My GoJasonville Personal Pages

Create your own MyGoJasonville pages! Cool

As a registered member you can create your own personal GoJasonville pages with the content you choose. This is similar to MyYahoo, MyMSN etc. Click MyGoJasonville and choose the settings and content you wish. Keep in mind you must be registered here in the community to create your personal page.

I wanted to give a few helpful hints on organizing your MyGoJasonville Pages.

You will find settings which include choosing a theme, number and size of columns and content you wish to include on your My GoJasonville pages.

When creating your My GoJasonville page keep in mind that the games offered in widgets and gadgets can be rather large and work better with a single column layout in order for them to be viewed correctly.

I suggest creating a few pages maybe one for news, one for entertainment, one for games etc. Then choosing whatever content you wish to each page. Organizing in this fashion you will be able to set columns for news pages and such and a single column layout for your games. You can create up to five pages.

MyGoJasonville pages can be made private or public so that others can view your page. If you wish not to share your page with others choose private.

There are lots of fun games and you can add news feeds and content listed on GoJasonville to your MyGoJasonville page but you can not add your own content. If you want to add your own content then post in the community and then add it to your personal page.

This is in Beta stage so if you have any problems or suggestions with this please contact us. It seems to be working fine but we have only tested this on one pc. Due to the various screen sizes, resolutions etc. the views may be different so please inform us if there are any viewing difficulties.
